Austin’s Hill Country is known for a few things: BBQ, native Texas wildflowers, rolling hills, and, of course, absolutely stunning wedding venues.
The natural beauty and charm of Austin’s Hill Country make the Dripping Springs and Austin area a popular hot spot for couples looking to get hitched in Texas, due to its urban convenience, venues with a breathtaking pasture view, and an overall amazing wedding experience with luxury venues.
As a wedding photographer in Austin, the Addison Grove is one of my favorite places with its capability of hosting all wedding sizes, its close proximity to Downtown Austin making it an ideal location for my clients, and the amazing wedding experience all of my clients have here!
So I’d like to share four reasons why you should consider The Addison Grove for your upcoming event and, hopefully, you’ll see the charm as well!
The Addison Grove has hosted many a dream wedding, known as one of the top luxury wedding venues in the Austin area. Its luxuriously appointed getting-ready areas for both brides and grooms, ample parking, oak trees, and a stunning barn help it offer one of the most amazing wedding experiences for couples.
Let’s get a quick overview of the history of the Addison Grove!
Located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Austin’s Hill Country, the Addison Grove has been a staple wedding venue for over a decade. It’s nestled on a beautiful 26-acre property with multiple outdoor ceremony and gathering spaces, along with a stunning climate-controlled indoor venue that resembles a high-end barn.
Within Austin City Limits. The Addison Grove is close enough to Downtown Austin that your guests can either use a ride share, carpool, or, if you hire a transportation company, it’s a quick drive for most! The location makes it deal for a country-vibe wedding day, while offering the variety of experiences that Austin offers!
Stunning Spots For Your Big Day. There are multiple ceremony locations on-site, even including a weather-proof backup plan inside the reception barn. The covered patio is perfect for the cocktail hour, an easy walk from the main ceremony spot. This stunning venue has a breathtaking bridal suite, grooms suite, and the only venue I know of that purposefully built around sunsets.
No matter what spot you decide on, it’ll offer the most amazing wedding experience!
Photographic Spots Galore. When The Addison Grove was built, they clearly consulted a wedding photographer or two. From dress-hanging hooks drilled into oak trees to ceremony spots where the setting sun lights up the world, it’s clear that a professional or two were consulted!
Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the resident longhorns grazing in the stunning pastures on the property. Your guests will love this Instagram-worthy moment as they enjoy cocktail hour by the covered patio!
Great Getting Ready Locations. As any wedding planner what their clients want and I promise a gorgeous getting-ready location is at the top of the list! The Addison Grove offers both the convenience of a getting-ready location and top-notch client care all at once.
It’s also one of the only venues I’ve seen with an actual beauty bar built-in, plus a fully functional kitchen, and an attached suite—all just in the bridal suite. The bridal party can celebrate in style during those final moments before the ceremony or take a break during cocktail hour from the sweltering Texas heat!
The 1,600 sq ft house is a great spot to hang around the whole day and is often one of the most favorite places for my clients to relax before and after the ceremony!
As I said before, the location of The Addison Grove is hard to beat! Like its sister venue, The Prospect House, it’s located 20 minutes outside of the Austin City Limits, right in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. Even if you decide to not get ready at the venue, it offers the urban convenience of nearby stores and shops if needed!
A beautiful day for weddings is normally made with sunshine, puffy clouds, and a blue-blue sky. The natural beauty of The Addison Grove is the epitome of Austin’s Hill Country gorgeous landscape.
Even the way the venue spaces are built factors in the Texas charm. The covered patio is appointed with rolling glass doors, which lead into the luxurious barn, that offers ample space for a dance floor on hardwood floors. If you look up, you’ll see the grande chandeliers and large overhead beams. I promise it’ll enchant your guests all night!
Going hand in hand with the natural beauty, it really is a photography heaven! It’s not just about the beautiful reception space, the cozy fire pit, or even all of the natural light seeping through the trees—it’s about how picturesque everything can be, even on a dreary overcast wedding day.
Its rustic charm is complemented with the grande chandeliers, the oak trees in the grove, and the resident longhorns nearby the property (such cute photo buddies!). Even if the sun isn’t shining, it’ll still feel like the perfect day.
And the gray color of the barn makes it all pop. The Addison Grove’s barn makes the ceremony photos really pop or even the couples portraits.
The Addison Grove hosts enough events, they’re experts at curating a customized hands-on experience for their clients. They’re super friendly, bringing the charm of Austin’s Hill Country to every email and phone call. They have a better understanding of The Addison Grove, so I recommend hiring them for your wedding planning experiences.
All of my clients have had an amazing experience with the entire staff. I know if you reach out, they’ll happily schedule a tour today! They’re known for being extremely responsive, which is always a relief. Some wedding vendors aren’t known for looking at their email, sadly.
The Texas Hill Country offers both affordable wedding venues and wedding venues that will blow your dream wedding out of the water. The Addison Grove promises the latter.
This stunning venue not only has a stunning bridal suite, oak trees offering a rustic charm, and an incredible place for a solid price, it’s also one of the top wedding venues in Dripping Springs.
So as you search for the venue to make your magical day even better, make sure to check out this incredible place inside the renowned Hill Country! I promise a positive experience!
